Her experimentation with innovative texture and non-traditional fabrications is a leading concept in her collections, showcasing contemporary ideas in an innovative way. Design Statement:
DESIGN STATEMENT: Hedonist is an analysis of the human mind and conscience; through inner thoughts and alter egos of Narcissism, Passion and Fragility. The collection reflects a perspective of these characteristics through layers, silhouettes and design details underlying the garments. Hedonist aims to promote the use of sustainable and ethical fabrications in the fashion industry. This has been achieved through the use of locally sourced fabrications and hardware. The use of traditional Australian oil-skin, Drizabone that has been sourced from the local community works as the main fabrication throughout the collections in a myriad of colours.Hedonist embraces the duality of functionality and dysfunctionality, inviting wearers to interpret and take full control of their garments. Hedonist empowers individuals to craft their own narratives through the art of how they are worn.
